Tiling Day one

Pulled up outside the site this morning, and saw a large dump truck, leaving a fresh load of sand - two utes inside, comprising one carpenter and one tiler crew.

And then the head tiler showed up, his van loaded with another pallet, this time of the large white wall tiles, and a pallet of bessa solid bricks (or similar - see pic 4 below).

There was some kind of screw-up with 1 series of tile - the laundry feature above sink. Tiles discontinued - we only wanted 3. They delivered some quite nice patterned white ones yesterday - very large, so we said to use those. Signed off in texta with the tiler onto his delivery docket. LOL!

The tiler mentioned the job would be complete in 3.5 days, he having 35 years experience doing this. I'd have to agree, given the progress we saw at 11:00am this morning - half a days work so far!

First photo from this morning, immediately after truck pulled out, 2nd is ensuite prep -

Ensuite prep for bath, and blocks for the main bathroom bathtub -

Raw finished floor in powder-room -

And then later in the day, below is the preparation for the alfresco tiling -

The ensuite bathroom, and laundry, note tiles inside cupboard space!

At around 2:00pm I saw the drainage guy arrive to install some downpipes to drain, and below is the main bathroom starting to be prepped -
